New Delhi — The Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) has added two more MSMEs to its SemiconIndia futureDESIGN DLI scheme.
- Aheesa Digital Innovations: Aheesa Digital Innovations is a fabless semiconductor startup based in Chennai, India. The company focuses on telecom, networking, and cybersecurity domains.
- Calligo Technologies: Calligo Technologies is a Bengaluru-based semiconductor startup that specializes in high-performance computing (HPC), big data, and artificial intelligence (AI).
The addition of these two MSMEs brings the total number of MSMEs in the SemiconIndia futureDESIGN DLI scheme to seven. The scheme provides financial incentives and design infrastructure support to MSMEs that are developing semiconductor chips and IP cores.
“We are delighted to welcome Aheesa Digital Innovations and Calligo Technologies to the SemiconIndia futureDESIGN DLI scheme,” said Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State for Electronics and IT. “These two MSMEs are leading the way in the development of semiconductor chips and IP cores in India, and we are confident that they will make significant contributions to the growth of the Indian semiconductor ecosystem.”
The SemiconIndia futureDESIGN DLI scheme is a key initiative of the government’s plan to make India a global hub for semiconductor design. The scheme is expected to help MSMEs to develop high-quality semiconductor chips and IP cores, which will in turn help to boost the growth of the Indian semiconductor industry.
“We are grateful to MeitY for the support of the SemiconIndia futureDESIGN DLI scheme,” said Akhil Bharati, CEO of Aheesa Digital Innovations. “The scheme will help us to accelerate the development of our semiconductor chips and IP cores, and it will also help us to build a strong design ecosystem in India.”
“We are excited to be a part of the SemiconIndia futureDESIGN DLI scheme,” said Karthik Ramani, CEO of Calligo Technologies. “The scheme will provide us with the resources and support that we need to develop high-quality semiconductor chips and IP cores, and it will also help us to connect with other players in the Indian semiconductor ecosystem.”
The addition of Aheesa Digital Innovations and Calligo Technologies to the SemiconIndia futureDESIGN DLI scheme is a significant boost for the Indian semiconductor ecosystem. The two MSMEs are leading the way in the development of semiconductor chips and IP cores in India, and they are well-positioned to make significant contributions to the growth of the Indian semiconductor industry.
